Housing is both a human priority and a powerful economic driver in the word today. In the Caribbean and Latin America, 37% of all households, which is over 58 million families need new or rehabilitated housing to meet basic minimum standards. Most of these housing needs are felt by the region's low-income majority, representing 360 million people, who are earning less than $272 monthly per capita.
where we focus our impact
At BRP we are focused entirely upon impact. We believe everything starts with a home and with the family living inside that home. A safe home provides a foundation for families to focus on gaining an income. An income provides a higher quality of life and the ability to break the cycle of poverty. We lead by example, and as we build more homes and train more artisans, we are creating a new future for families living in poverty within the Dominican Republic. Partnership is key to the success of our international projects and creates a sustainable pathway forward for our families and our communities; to become self-sufficient and empowered through education creates an impact beyond our own physical projects.
We are breaking the boundaries of traditional design we create a modular form of architecture that is based upon the local building materials of the Dominican Republic.
We are committed to creating a sustainable future for the locally mined gemstone Larimar by working with the mining community, employing artisans and creating jewelry programs to empower women and girls.
